    Description

    Antique Cast Iron Surface Mount Top Door Chain Bolt, Patented Dec 16,1856. This type of bolt was used at the top of the door and a pull chain, not included, was used to allow access to the bolt on tall doors. The bolt has been restored. 6 1/8” by 2 1/8” at the widest part. Catch adds an additional 1 1/4”. Thus bolt has a very strong spring.
