    Description

    Up for auction is an antique architectural remnant hand wrought iron door latch handle recently found at auction in Lancaster County PA area.  It is offered in as found used condition.  Casting losses, breaks along the edges, distressed, appears to have fire damage leading to the assumption this was hearth related.  Condition issues include bends, scratches and abraisions throughout.  Thumb latch quite bent. Remnants of white  paint, rust and pitting issues. Well made and quite old.  Measures approx 1 1/4' x 1 3/4" x 6 1/2" in size. Heavy, solid iron.  Interesting architectural remnant.  Four mounting holes. No associated hardware. Unsigned unmarked.  For reuse or repurposing.
