Antique Wrought Iron Carpenter Style Rim Lock 1840, Restored Complete Right Hand

A wrought iron Carpenter & Co. rim lock, early 1800's - brass seal reads "Carpenter & Co. Patentees".  The Carpenter patented mechanism lifts up and down instead of moving in and out, hence the cutout keeper.  This lock body measures
6" deep x 4 1/2" high x 3/4"
without the keeper which mounts on the door jamb and measures 1 3/8" wide x 4 1/2" high and is trimmed in brass.  Lock is
right hand only and not reversible
. Restored and complete with original narrow neck brass knobs measuring 1 3/4" diameter with a brass rosette (1 1/2" dia.) and oval key escutcheon 2" x 1  1/2" replacement hand made in our shop.   Complete with one 4 1/4" brass key.  Back set of 4" to knob center and 2  5/8" to key way center.   Knobs currently space for 2" door but can be modified to fit buyer's door thickness upon request with door measurement in a message when ordering. In very good working condition.
