    Description

    Circa 1830 antique Norfolk wrought iron thumb latch handle in wrought iron.   Handle is as found in old rust spots over bare metal - no finish left.  The f
    ull back plate measures 7 1/2" high x 1 1/2" wide.  The handle portion is about 3 3/4" high.  The thumb press is a bit misshapen from years of use and pinned on the back pivot with a curved wrought thumb lift extending out 2 1/4".  Handle has a small original casting defect on the side .  Nicely executed early American handle for a Norfolk style thumb latch, untouched and salvaged.  Purchase is for single handle only.
