Vintage Nickel Plated Solid Brass Shutter Bar or Flip Down Bar With Catch

For sale is a Vintage Shutter Bar Latch or Flip Down Bar/Drop Down Bar Latch with Catch.  The material in the Shutter Bar is believed to be nickel plated brass.  It is non-magnetic and heavy, not suggestive of an alloy.  The catch is also non-magnetic and heavy, so it also is possibly nickel plated brass.  The bar on the latch and the catch appear to be cast, while the oval base of the latch appears to be stamped.  The oval base measured approximately 3 1/2" long x 1 1/2" wide.  The center of hole to center of hole on the oval shaped base of the Shutter Bar is 2 3/4."  The bar on the latch is 3 1/16" long x 3/4" wide x 5/32" thick.  The  center of hole to center of hole on the catch is approximately 1 3/8."  These are solid, well made pieces of hardware.  They were located in a loose collection of latches from an estate sale, and although it looks like the catch and latch are a pair, it is possible that the catch is not an exact match for the shutter bar latch.  Please review the photographs.  Both the Shutter Bar Latch and Catch are both used, and as such, have minor imperfections, but are in great working order and their overall appearance is very good.
